This position is sited in State College, PA. This is NOT a remote work opportunity. The Operations Specialist is expected to fully engage in routine, on-site work and collaboration with the team located at Innovation Park in State College.

WHO WE ARE:
Croptix headquartered in State College, PA, offers farmers a practical, affordable crop disease screening solution that “sees” the symptoms of plant disease inside of leaves before those symptoms are visible to the human eye and before disease has time to spread. The services leverage advanced analytics coupled with field deployable sensor technology to equip farmers with the tools to diagnose crop disease early and take effective action to reduce losses due to disease. Currently Croptix is focused on providing a service solution to citrus farmers dealing with devastating citrus diseases including citrus HuangLongBing disease, which has no cure and has plagued citrus production globally.

As the Operations Specialist, you keep the CEO efficient and effective while also keeping every aspect of the business operations humming like a well-oiled machine. What you will do:
With limited direct supervision from the CEO, your responsibilities are diverse and important; they include:

Providing high-level administrative support to the CEO

Conducting research and helping prepare data and presentations

Managing and overseeing special projects
-
Handling sensitive information requests
-
Preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, scheduling travel and meetings, organizing emails, etc.

Promoting effective advertising, marketing, social media, and other public relations activities/materials/programs

Solving practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists

Performing other duties as needed to support business initiatives and business development efforts
Requirements to Succeed:

Trustworthiness - maintaining confidentiality of critical business issues is a key responsibility

Demonstrated success prioritizing and managing work requests from multiple sources and in meeting deadlines; superior time management skills and attention to detail are essential

Minimum Job Entry Requirements:
-
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and have with the ability to regularly drive locally/regionally to conduct company business. Less frequent, (overnight) national travel may also be required for tradeshows or other business activities; this involves having the ability to travel by air or train.

If required by job duties, background checks (criminal/education/employment/ reference/credit) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company

If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures and other prescribed best practices/industry standards
Nice to have:

Working knowledge of QuickBooks

Advanced-level Excel skills are a definite plus (e.g. V-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)

Working knowledge of Kanban management software such as Trello or Asana

Working knowledge and regular use of social media platforms

1+ year project management experience a plus, but not required
